I've been blogging for years, but for a long time now I got distracted by making friends on FaceBook. With so many exciting things going on around here, I thought I would share some of it with old and new friends!
My so-called 'day job' of illustrating for exhibits and museums is keeping me exceedingly busy, so that I have to use my quote/unquote spare time to get ready for the big gallery show that I'm in and co-curating, opening July 1 at Helikon Gallery in the River North District of beautiful Denver. I'll have several large pieces in the main gallery, mingling with other exciting work by other exciting artists. AND in the annex gallery I'm one half of the show, sharing with one of my esteemed studio partners, Willa Haller. There's an awful lot of preparation for the show (with pieces I haven't even started yet!), and I still have several commissions going on simultaneously. Plus I'm hoping to sell more copies of my new art book.
SO, as I say, exciting times, and I will be showing some of my work along the way, for anyone interested in seeing that kind of thing. This is my first post on this venue, so I know no one is watching at this moment, but I hope to drag some of you over here and coerce you to leave some comments, and maybe things can grow. We shall see. Meanwhile, here's a piece that I'm working on for the gallery, and I'll explain more about it all as I go along.
