Yay, the talk at the Rocky Mountain Book and Paper Fair went REALLY well, with all tech issues ironed out and no bugs! The only downside was that the projection screen had to be viewed with all the house lights on, washing out a bit of the impact I had designed into the slides. Merchandise Mart staff people tried their best to optimize lighting, but we couldn't take light away from the book dealers in the huge room — yet the art still showed up pretty nicely.
So, the presentation was a success and I met some really great people and even sold a big batch of books! The Book Fair people and the Merchandise Mart people were wonderful!
I enjoy presenting artwork in this manner of slides, stories and music. I'm going to gear up some more programs and set up some more venues.
This was the poster at the Fair's entrance. A couple of typos and bit of misinformation were beyond my control, but I could definitely get used to being described as 'Featured Author'!
